Description

This is my second painting on stretched linen. I love the way the linen takes the paint, effortlessly and complete.
I stumbled on an old mill some years ago and did a rough sketch. I found my old sketch book when my wife and I moved and I ran across this. Even with the passage of time, this scene still drew me in. I had to paint it. The mill had been abondoned for some time and the over growth was impressive. What drew me to this particular structure was how it seemed to fit right into this scene. A man made structure looking as if it belonged in nature, almost living, as if it was supporting the over grown foliage around it.
I signed this painting and sealed it.
