Description
A fall day in “Manchester, Michigan” comes to life in this delightfully and expertly rendered watercolor. Robert MacIsaac, a former Michigan resident, so masterfully captures the light hitting wet road pavement, and so elegantly captures the shadows of the surrounding trees. The use of the smooth, warm tones in the trees and of the fallen leaves reflect a northern Michigan trend every year make this brilliant composition. This very desirable piece is complimented by a gold flecked wooden frame and has a two toned brown double mat that brings out the splendor in this picture. The painting measures a total of 20.75” x 26.5”. Signed in the bottom right corner, this painting would be a valuable investment to any art enthusiast’s collection.
This painting was purchased directly from Robert MacIsaac in Grosse Pointe, MI. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and a Notarized Affidavit of Provenance.
Robert MacIsaac was born and raised in Detroit, MI, in October of 1925, from an early age he exhibited his outstanding artistic talent. He served overseas in the American Army in World War II, in both the Philippines and New Guinea. He returned to Michigan after his service had ended where he gained a widespread recognition for his spectacular landscapes and his unique, artistic realism in maritime paintings. He was also a renowned graphic designer, with his work including the Seal of the City of Novi. In later life he moved to North Carolina and than to Clearwater, FL where he continued to develop his extraordinary talent producing unrivaled oils and watercolors in his favorite genera of landscape and maritime seascapes. He died in Clearwater, FL in December of 2000, and is celebrated for his outstanding artistic achievements. Unfortunately his lifetime output is in the range of 600 pieces including paintings, drawings, etc. Any of his work is bound to increase in value because of limited outputs.
