Nefertiti was an ancient Egyptian queen, the chief wife of Akhenaton, the pharaoh of Egypt, from about 1350 to 1334BC, with whom she initiated many religious, cultural, and artistic changes. It is even believed that Nefertiti may have exercised the priestly office, a position normally reserved for kings.
Our mosaic interpretation of this famous Queen, 17 inches by 22 inches, is based upon a painted limestone bust, considered to be one of the great works of art surviving from ancient Egypt.
