Description

Coil built clay sculpture. This unique piece really captures the strength and spirit of the heavy draft horse. It was a real challenge to build this, since there is no sub-structure to the piece. I wanted to make the entire thing from coils and to be able to see into the interior, as well as through it. It was like drawing in 3-D. I am pleased with the effect as well as the physical integrity of the final product. The glaze color is gun metal.
